Our job is pretty straightforward: we fix broken iPhones and other smartphones. Often times we get devices that are very damaged, other times we get devices that are so horribly damaged it takes a lot more finesse to complete than others.
In this case, we had an iPad sent to us from Florida with a cracked screen and really bad case damage. Here is how it went down:
The main thing with this iPad is that the corners were extremely damaged. This iPad must have been dropped on its corners without a case or whacked against a wall or something. Not good.
You can see in these first two images how horribly bashed the corners were. At this point we weren’t sure what course of action to take, but we knew it would take some finagling.
Some corners were worse than others. In this case it was bashed in and you can see the case was actually popped out of the frame.
Here is a closeup shot of the broken glass with the bent frame before we took off the case.
From there we began the process of repairing the broken frame. This involved a lot of prying, light rubber mallet, and more.
Here is a really nice after shot of the corners. It took a lot of time but we were able to get the corners to the point where we could replace the glass.

This was one of the worse corners, was able to get it looking really good.
In the end, this iPad came out smelling like roses. The customer was super happy and we were pleased with the outcome.
