List of Mobile Phone Generations
Over the past few decades, mobile wireless technologies have undergone four or five generations of technology evolution. Each generation has been associated with new technology. The first generation was called 0G; the second generation was called 1G, and so on and so forth. Better features and capabilities have been offered by each new generation of the technology revolution. 5G is the most recent generation of technology. SMS
Mobile wireless technologies are classified into three groups. These are the second generation (0G to 1G), third generation ( 2G to 3G), and fourth generation ( 3G to 4G). The new generation is the fifth generation ( 4G to 5G). 5G offers more bandwidth to support the ever-increasing demand for data access. It can provide broadband connectivity to end users, devices, and vehicles. According to the International Telecommunication Union, the fifth generation ( 5G ) network is expected to be available around 2020.
However, most people do not understand the difference between 4G and 5G. There is no real technical difference between 4G and 5G except that 5G has more speed and higher data capacity than 4G. The 5G network is expected to have a download speed of 100 megabits per second, which is about 40 times faster than the 4G. Shops for repairing Mobile Screen.
The first generation of mobile phones was known as 0G. This is the first technology that was used to communicate via mobile devices. However, it was very limited in range. The 0G was created in 1946 and was introduced as a military device. This early model was designed for communication between fighter planes. The 0G was the first device that was operated by a dial and used a radio frequency of 400 MHz The next generation was called 1G. The 1G was introduced in 1956 and provided greater bandwidth. It had a frequency of 900MHz. It was the first mobile phone that was used to make voice calls. It was mainly used to connect the military. The next generation was 2G, which was introduced in 1981.
This model had a frequency of 1800MHz. It was a new generation with advanced features such as SMS and short messages. It also offered advanced services like 3G and CDMA. The next generation of mobile phones was 3G. This was introduced in the year 1999. It had a frequency of 2.45GHz. The third generation of mobile phones was known as 4G. It was introduced in 2008 and had a frequency of 2.75GHz. It was the first time that mobile phones were able to transmit data. It was the fastest generation of mobile phone technology.
