One of the main concerns for Apple consumers upon hearing about the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus was the increase in screen size. iPhone users have long admired the phone for its slim size and how easy it was to use it with one hand, but with larger screens that are competing with the Samsung Galaxy’s, users were concerned with the reach across the screen along with using two hands. So, that’s what inspired us to write a post about the new reachability feature on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
After learning of the consumers concern with the larger screen, Apple quickly announced their “reachability” feature which we’re going to tell you how to use.
How to use Reachability on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
In order to shorten the reach of the content on your phone, you want to simply double TAP the home button, do not press it twice, that will just move the top half of content towards the bottom of the screen – so, double TAP the home button.
Then, once you’ve tapped on the content, it will revert back to its normal size, but that’s only after you’ve selected a link, otherwise the content will still allow you to easily scroll.
Thus far, the reachability feature has proven to be useful because users don’t need to readjust their grip on their phones to select a certain link, nor do they need to use a second hand. Once reachability becomes active for iOS 8, Apple should release a widget to make accessing the new feature easier.
