The TranSistors are used in various electronic devices to convert signals between digital and analog formats. They can be found in such devices as audio systems, DVD players and VCRs, fax machines, cable television sets, radios, and microwave ovens. Their primary function is to change a signal from one form to another. As they work on the principle of electrochemical transducers, these sensors detect minor variations in electrical current. These currents may be caused by tiny changes in pressure, temperature, moisture, light, electromagnetic fields, or other conditions which affect the conductivity of the device’s metal electrodes.
