Nokia Releasing New Phone With One Month of Battery Life

Nokia-215-phone

For those who don’t need all the fancy gadgets that come with smartphone’s such as the Samsung Galaxy or the Apple iPhone, Nokia is releasing a new (low spec) phone that has a battery life up to one month. With the overall goal of increasing their market shares in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, it will still most likely also increase their sales in Europe for their budget seeking buyers.

According the Business Insider:

“The Nokia 215 is a feature phone targeted at first-time buyers, people on a serious budget, and consumers in the developing world who want an entry-level phone at the lowest cost possible.”

However, this new Nokia phone will turn a lot of heads with its long lasting battery life because it proves that battery’s can be made to last longer than a single day like the most popular phone’s on the market today. The phone itself costs $29.00 and it comes with a mini-internet browser, Facebook messenger, and it can run Twitter and other applications.

Microsoft’s Thoughts on the New Nokia 215

Microsoft is claiming that this new Nokia phone is the most affordable, internet accessible phone that has ever been released.

Now, we’ve looked at photos of this new Nokia, and while it looks like the old school Nokia phone we all had in the early 2000’s, we like the overall idea of the lasting battery life being used to target markets that may not have consistent access to electricity. The concept behind this phone makes sense and it could really be a turnaround for Nokia phone sales.

Although the Nokia 215 won’t be released in United States, it’ll be released in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa within the first quarter of 2015. Good luck Nokia 215, we support you.
