Phone insurance companies have learned that although the Samsung Galaxy has amazing reviews as a cell phone, it is way easier to break than the iPhone 5. SquareTrade Incorporated conducted a test where they dropped several versions of the Galaxy and the iPhone into a glass of water and ranked their destruction by water on a scale from one to 10 (10 being the worst).
The Samsung Galaxy S4 received a seven, and the older version – the Galaxy S3 – received a 6.5. The iPhone only received a five out of 10.
Now, no one wants to drop their phone in a glass of water, but in the event that they do, an iPhone would have the best chance for survival. Now, while the iPhone has that sleek design and is basically made out of aluminum and glass, the Samsung has a slippery grip and a larger display screen – which apparently makes it more susceptible to damages.
Still, Samsung is outselling the iPhone which is the whole goal.
