TMobile’s CEO Crashed An AT&T Event And Was Escorted Out

It’s like one of those jokes you hear “A guy walks into a bar…” except is goes a little something more like, TMobile’s CEO attended AT&T’s CES (consumer electronics show) event and was promptly escorted out by security. However, it ended up turning into a great article for CNET’s Roger Cheng – with him in some way being the reason CEO, John Legere’s plan was foiled.

The timeline of events is actually kind of hilarious:

– Legere arrives at the event where he is recognized by Cheng.

– Cheng, of course, wants to take advantage of the photo op and snaps a photo with Legere.

– Cheng posts the photo to his Twitter with the hash tag, CES2014

– Two security guards surround Legere and escort him out of the event.

Now, both Tmobile and AT&T are major retailers for Samsung and Apple products, and they have also been competing with their contracts for the top-selling phones, which has almost turned into a high school rivalry type situation.

Apparently, TMobile is hosting their CES event on Wednesday, the 7th of January and many are pining on Legere sharing his story of his travels to an AT&T event.

However, the best part is that Legere didn’t actually “crash” the tech event, he was given passes for him and his “crew” by rapper, Macklemore’s agent – Mack was performing. So, now – after entering via invitation, he was still kicked out. Personally, I’m all about Tmobile’s contracts – especially with their deals on iPhone’s and the Samsung Galaxy.
